Pathway Description
Students will complete work-based physical conditioning, classroom theory and "hands-on" training in preparation for careers in Fire Departments. Hands-on activities incude live vehiicle fires, dumpster fires, structural fires, search and rescue, forcible entry, flashover simulation and much more. This program will challenge the student with proper use of "Jaws of Life" and crime scene investigations. Students will utilize full personal protective equipment (PPE) and self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA).
This pathway will prepare the student for certification as a Firefighter through the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) through Oklahoma State Universit/Fire Services Training.
