Pathway Description
Landscaping and Horticulture: Students will learn plant identification, transplanting, watering techniques, and greenhouse management. Additionally, students will learn garden planning, which includes installation and maintenance, and computerized landscape design.
Small Engine Repair: Students will explore the basic components of 2 and 4 stroke engines on a variety of power equipment available in the industry. This is a hands-on program where students will become familiar with how an engine operates and why an engine might fail. Troubleshooting small engines is a large portion of this program and students are allowed to bring projects from home as part of their training.
Plant and Soil Science: Students will develop skills related to ornamental horticulture including landscaping and greenhouse production.
Natural Resources & Environmental Science: Students will learn the skills necessary to safely operate tools associated with the landscape maintenance industry.
