Small Business Management

The SBM program brings benefits of improved business management to small business owners and aspiring owners.  The main purpose of the program is to assist business owners and managers in achieving their goals through improved management, organization, and operations.  The SBM program offers business owners a step-by-step process for creating and growing a successful business.

Participants attend workshops offered throughout the year on pertinent subjects for business owners and managers.  The SBM meet with each of the business owners/managers on an as-needed basis at their business or the technology center to help them apply what they have learned to their specific business.  The cost of the program including all workshops for one year is $110.

The SBM program coordinator offers private, confidential consulting to achieve the goals of the individual business owner. Assistance is provided to complete business plans, develop loan packaging information, install and maintain management information systems and develop computerized record keeping systems. This one-on-one consulting is provided to help the business owner better utilize the tools and resources offered by changing technologies.  A newsletter entitled BusinessBASICS is published for your benefit free of charge.

Deciding whether to start your own business can be difficult.  There are many factors and variables to be considered.  Besides having a good business idea, you need the knowledge, resources and skills to support your business venture.  The staff at EOC Technology Center recognizes the importance of this decision and the need for professional guidance along the way.  Contact Harold Baade, SBM Coordinator at 390-9591 if you're thinking of going into business for yourself.
