January 4, 2010: EOC TECH HEALTH CAREERS STUDENTS SUCCESSFUL IN CERTIFICATIONS
Eastern Oklahoma County Technology Center Health Careers students obtained Long Term Care/Home Health Aide Certifications, qualifying them for employment as certified nursing assistants.  The license they receive is issued by the Oklahoma State Department of Health which licenses them for two years before a renewal is required.

December 7, 2009: EOC TECH STUDENTS BRAVE COLD TEMPS TO PARTICIPATE IN CHOCTAW CHRISTMAS PARADE
Saturday, December 5, Eastern Oklahoma County Technology Center students rode on the brand new float which was constructed by students in a combination of trades under the direction of Steve Bullinger, Construction Trades Instructor and Jennifer Burch, Explore Instructor. Students representing various programs waved to the crowd aboard the holiday float, "EOC Catches the Choctaw Express".

August 31, 2009: NEW FACE AND NEW TECHNOLOGY AT EOC TECH
Trendy haircut, contemporary dress, and the enthusiasm of a teenager--you might mistake him for one of the new students on campus, but who you are really seeing is the new Interactive Media: Digital Media instructor, Jason Adams.

August 31, 2009: EOC TECH PARENT NIGHT
Tuesday, September 8, Eastern Oklahoma County Technology Center hosted a back to school “Parent Night”. Students were encouraged to bring their parents to the campus to meet their instructors and tour classrooms and lab areas.The evening began with a hot dog dinner and welcome from Dr.Terry Underwood, Superintendent and Mr. Brent Casey, Director of Daytime Programs. Dr.Underwood announced the enrollment this year is currently at 609 daytime students and 60 Explore Sophomores.

August 31, 2009: EOC TECH STUDENTS ENCOURAGED TO “GET INVOLVED!” An invitation for membership and leadership development was the topic of the first all-school assembly of the year held Friday, August 28, 2009.  Career Tech Student Organizations (CTSO) at Eastern Oklahoma County Technology Center give students an opportunity to develop leadership and public speaking skills, participate in competition events with other career tech students across the district, state and nation, while working on professional development, citizenship and self improvement.

August 7, 2009: EOC TECH NOMINATES OMEGA INSURANCE FOR 2009 OATC PARTNER FOR PROGRESS AWARD. Technology centers recognize businesses and industries that have made outstanding contributions to the improvement, promotion, development, and progress of their tech center.  Omega Insurance was one of 27 Recipients who were recognized at CareerTech’s 42nd Annual Oklahoma Summer Conference during a special luncheon on August 4th.

April 27, 2009: SON SHADOWS DAD AT EOC TECH ON “TAKE YOUR CHILD TO WORK DAY”. Cameron Crusoe, a student at James Griffith Intermediate School spent April 23rd in school but not in his fourth grade classroom. Cameron took the opportunity to learn more about what his dad, Daryl Crusoe, does at work as the business manager of Eastern Oklahoma County Technology Center in Choctaw.
